I made my vase last week, photographed the flowers, but ran out of time to post until now. The first of the California Poppies and the last of the daffodils meet with perennial Stock, Freesias, Dutch Iris, and the Black Diamond Tulips, still going. The leaves of purple sage were growing over a nearby rose so they made a nice addition of purple-green.
Having already planted 3 types of tomatoes, I went to an Italian seed site to buy Topepo peppers, and bought yellow and red peppers, and several types of Italian tomatoes as well. My dog jumped on the keyboard at the last moment so I blame him for some extra packets. Lying on the table, they were pretty and seasonal.
One of the last of the daffodils, either ‘My Word’ or ‘Eclat’.
As always, thanks to Cathy at Rambling in the Garden for hosting.
Worth the wait Cathy, its a lovely bouquet
Thank you 🙂 It was a nutty week and it was nice to have the flowers.
Genius – never thought of blaming the dog for my seed buying habit!
Lovely vase Cathy.
Ha ha, I know it’s not his fault that I am a seed hoarder, but I really didn’t intend to get 2 giant packs of yellow peppers and he was trying to push the tablet out of the way 🙂
